Universal Wire Works ER630 Stainless Steel Bare Wire
Subcategory: Stainless Steel; Metal
Material Notes: Iron content is calculated as remainder. This alloy is designed primarily for welding ASTM A564 Type 630, 17 percent chromium, 4 percent nickel, and precipitation-hardening stainless steel. The composition is modified to eliminate the present of ferrite stringers in the martensitic micro-structure, which has a damaging effect on mechanical properties. Dependent on the weld size, the weld metal may be used in the as welded, welded-plus precipitation-hardened, or welded-plus-solution-treated-plus-precipitation-hardened.
